All of the products are best on or before the printed best by date, prior to opening. We do not recommend using the product
after the listed expiration or best by date. The product should be discarded.

Jerky is good for about a week after opening. The flavor can get old or oxidized, but it will not spoil like fresh meat. Be sure to
reseal the package after each use to prevent drying out.

It is not recommended to freeze our product to extend shelf life. Freezing product will impact the freshness and flavor of product.

In most of our jerky and dried sausage products, we add one or more small white packets (depending on the size of the bag) for oxygen absorption.

Their purpose is to react with any oxygen that might be in the package after sealing, which helps preserve the freshness and quality of our products.

The oxygen absorber packet contains primarily sodium ascorbate (salt form of Ascorbic Acid or Vitamin C). All compounds in the packet are Generally Regarded As Safe (GRAS), and are approved as food ingredients.

There are NO health risks should the contents of the oxygen absorber packets be accidentally consumed.

Salt is the preservatives used in Oberto Natural Style beef jerky.
